Ok so thhe B string on my new Tele is totally not happenin'. I tune the open strings and everyone grooves but the B. How do I get this thing to jive with the rest of strings. String tree problem maybe? I know Fenders have had that problem a lot. It's a brand new telecaster with a vintage style three saddle bridge so individual intonation adjustments are nil but is there any way I can get the B to sit right? Please help. Thank you.

String trees should not affect intonation unless maybe they are making it difficult for a string to seat properly in a nut slot -- seems very unlikely.

Check Stew-Mac.com. You can buy compensated (tilted) vintage style saddles that should help this problem.

Here's the trick to setting the intonation on a vintage tele bridge.

These aren't the premier compensated saddles, but they're a great price.
These are great quality and give you some oportunity to adjust the tone of your tele, but they're a bit more costly.

Some people prefer the sound of the offset tuning usually required by the vintage Tele tuners, kind of like Buzz Feiten or the Peterson tuner's "sweetened" tuning offsets.
