Hi everyone,
I picked up this Ibanez SZ520QM from a pawn shop thinking there was just some finish cracking at the binding. I don't know why I didn't realize it was a lifted fretboard that caused the finish to peel back. Pictures can be seen at https://imgur.com/a/3jWya

I am posting to ask for some advice. The plan is to use a liquid hide wood glue and c-clamps, so
1. Is this a good method?
2. Should I clear the separated portion of splinters and debris with a thin tool?
3. Do I need to worry about the rest of the fingerboard separating?
4. What is a recommendation for method and materials for touching up the finish after it's cured? I really don't care if it looks bad as long as its smooth and prevents further peeling.

Thank you in advance!
