hi everybody.
im posting on this forum to try and resolve an issue ive got with my Squier Strat.
basicly im having a problem with the pickups being loose, that is the scews on the side
do not screw in tighly without the pickups being far too high, and so the pickups are easily
coming in and out of the holes in the pickguard. ive already taken the guitar half apart to try
and fix the problem, but that hasnt worked..
thanks in advance, if you didnt get bored half way though that rant and give up on me ;)
sounds like the screws are stripped get a new set also make sure there are a set of springs on them for tension.

I'm going to guess you mean they are too "floppy" at the height you want them, but not loosening up. If this is the case, it's not stripped screws, but weak mounting springs. Try replacing the springs on each of the mounting screws with something beefier.
-=tension & release=-
Yea thats what I mean, springs eh
When I was younger, I looked for loose pickups, usually in bars, but wasn't very lucky.
