Rattle/Buzzing in Old Ovation (Not fret buzz)

I have a 1979 Ovation Balladeer that is in very good condition, however it's started to develop an issue with buzzing/rattling. I know that it isn't an issue with fret buzz, because it only happens off and on and it happens anywhere on the fret board, even open. Here's the weird part: when it happens, if I touch the top of the guitars body, the noise goes away. I'm thinking this rattling might be coming from something being loose in the electronics or homing else inside the body. Any ideas?
