I found on instructables. com how to make a removable killswitch , i am not sure though if it will damage my amp

It will not hurt your amp -- but what a kludge in almost every aspect.
One more thing: Solder is not "optional" for something like this. Soldering is the right way to do it.

YUCK!
You can do better than that, surely. I think that box would physically interfere with playing, besides looking really bad.

I'd do it as a stomp box.
Parts list:
1 box (metal preferred - you will be stepping on it after all)
1 switch (single pole, push-on/push-off)
2 female 1/4 inch jacks
a small amount of wire to connect everything in parallel.
I wrapped a newspaper ’round my head
So I looked like I was deep
i just made it and i have the box one the back of the guitar, so i can do tom morello solos without anyone knowing what i am doing

I think it looks cool! Ummm .. not really. OK, here is my idea for temporary. If it's a Strat style guitar, lose one of the tone pots and use that hole for the switch. If you don't like it you can put it back like it was and there are no new holes. If you got a Les Paul ..... Tom Mor ... who? Ace Frehley man, listen to some old KISS. With a Les Paul, if you are using the bridge pickup, turn the volume to the neck pickup off. Now your togle switch is a kill switch. The intro to Cold Gin off the "Alive" album is a prime example. Well, thats my 2 cents worth.

made a small metal bracket and taped it to my guitar. it works great, and , the best part i can use it on all of my guitars. I don't have a les paul, because i don't have the cash for that, I try to donate as much of my money to axis of justice. :D

If it works for you thats all that matters. I didn't mean you necissarily need a Gibson Les Paul, just one with Les Paul style electronics, 2 volume controlls and a togle switch. Tom Morello's Strat has a kill switch I take it. From what I read it is togle. Cool 8)
