Hi All,
Just Bought a Fender Toronado. It has two seymour duncan humbuckers on it (the open type).Problem is they are incredibly bright. So much so that you can play the guitar just by blowing on the strings! It sounds great at high volumes but when practising solos in the house at lower volumes it sounds a bit muddy because the slight brush of your finger against the neighbouring string makes your solo sound like a real mess.Just wondering if they can be lowered or adjusted.Dont really want to raise the strings if at all possible.Sounds fantastic with clean sounds its just the overdrive thats a problem.

Any Advice much appreciated
Thanks

Yeah, you need to lower 'em. There's a screw on each side of the pickup. Turn 'em in.

Does this hold true with most pickups or is it a Fender design?

That's pretty well standard.

I'm almost positive it is true for most guitars.
