When I get me strings changed on my acoustic, they have this luster and really smooth feel to them. after a while the luster fades even though they seem to remain in pretty good shape. How do I keep that shine and smooth feel. Should I use a string lubricant. I clean them with string cleaner after I practice.

I lube mine with olive oil a drop or two between my fingers the length of the string, sounds weird but it keeps my toxic sweat from corroding the strings, it also makes slides a lot quieter.
