I have a HAMER electric guitar, which has a LP style bridge. I was wondering if i can get any sort of a whammy system to put in the place of the stopbar, or the tune-o-matic, or both. It also has to NOT be astronomically priced. I cant afford to buy a new electric with a whammy, so this option would be gr8! Please help if you can. I'll appreciate any suggestions! :D

stetsbar.com

says it for stop tail piece guitars. i'm looking at it in an issue of guitarone so the price probably isn't accurate as to what you would find in a store. says it retails at $299. kinda pricey but it's the first thing i've seen like that

Could always retrofit with a Bigsby. different kinda whammy, but very smooth... cool.

OR... 8)

The not traditional, but ultra cool "Les Trem!"

LP Forum thread on it, with sweet pics of it on a V and a 335... Sweet!

I would think the amount of time and money spent making the change over, one could pick up another guitar with a double locking Floyd Rose installed.
