My acoustic all of a sudden developed a string buzz on the E(6) and A strings. Open A produces a really loud buzz, and the 3rd and 5th frets give the E string a buzz.

I need to change the strings anyway, but was wondering if anyone thought that may eliminate the problem.

Did you solve the problem?

Light guage strings will do that, and IMO, when they stretch and age. Mediums might correct it some.

If you aren't changing guages of strings, try a counter-clockwise truss rod adjustment to give more bow or bend in the neck, or take it in for a set up. Depending on the age of the guitar, the saddle may be worn, with grooves in it?

Hey, thanks for the check-in, yeah changing the strings did so the trick for a while then once they settled in it got a bit of a buzz back, but not as bad, so I did do an adjustment of a 1/4 turn (shouldn't have done it myself I don't think, but did anywawy) and it buzz is gone now.

The guitar isn't more than a year old, been in my posession for about 2 months.

Thanks!
