Well, with just a few days left until Summertime in the Northern Hemisphere is officially over, we finally have a Summertime Blues Jam for you all:

2nd Annual GN Summertime Blues Jam

The players:

0 - 1:20 = etm
1:21 - 2:27 = Dan T.
2:28 - 3:32 = Vic Lewis
3:33 - end = almann1979

Thank you to etm and almann1979 for being so patient, (3+ months they've been waiting for the jam to be completed so you could hear their stuff! ), and a very special thank you to Vic Lewis for coming to our rescue and helping us get this jam finished. 8) I know the players put a lot of thought and talent into their parts, and I hope you all enjoy the jam. :D

ETM- i havent heard you play blues before - but you do a great job with it!! People expect a lot from you now and you didnt dissapoint.

Dan - thanks for putting this together - I really liked your part as well - good job.

Vic - thanks for stepping in. I havent heard much of your lead playing on hear here before, so i was looking forward to this. A very good job, i enjoyed listening to it.

well done guys :D

edit: i know this isnt a competition, but i always play these finished things to the wife and ask her if she can guess which part is mine, and ask her which part is her favourite.

she said part 3 was her favourite - so Vic well done :D

Nice job, fellow collaborators!

etm....I like the way you back off a little at times, and don't try and fill up all the available space - that's probably my biggest fault! Nice phrasing, too.

Dan...lovely tone. I'm not one for using the clean channel a lot, but that's pretty sweet. Again, well phrased and nicely built.

Al...cool finish, nice way to take it home. That's got to be the first time two Lancashire lads have followed each other on one of these jams!

As for me....had a temperature of about 103, was shivering and sweating at the same time, coughing, sneezing....played through it three times and kept the second take, although I'd had a couple of goes at practise. Seems to me I'm always a bit hesitant at the start of my part, but get into the groove as it goes along. Least I've got the flu out of the way before winter!

:D :D :D

what a great time of the year. summer's end. nature's bounty ripe for the picking.
I am glad I listened to this jam. ripe with the blues I say.
good pickin' and mighty tasty.

my very favorite bite was between 300 and 332 when Vic took off.
oh, those notes and tones. 8) blew me away.

etm...yeah, fearless.
Dan...I am a sucker for that sound. it takes me back and I always want more.
allman...every time I hear you play it's better and better. you may have to change
the avatar to 'slowhand'. the other dude isn't using it anymore.

well played boys. thanks for the end of summertime jam.

nice job everyone, really great.

etm, wow man, i love your phrasing. I have no idea what you're doing, but its very unique and original, but still maintains a blues feeling. very awesome. the only thing I'd suggest is thinning out those bass notes a bit (turn down bass on amp maybe, or, maybe lower the pickups on the bass side?), they're a bit overwhelming. Other than that, I'd say your playing is some of the coolest stuff I've heard lately. 0:42-0:44, love it, very cool.

vic, i agree with you about your playing, kinda missing it at the beginning, but once you get going, you really get going. turned out great, glad to hear you playing lead.

Hi Taso thanks for your comments.. its very appreciative and direct to the point... my setup here was i plugged my guitar directly to pc w/o any gears.. im trying my VSTs only in equalizing it.. so the output was so thin... and dumb hahahaha
