. . . need to point out here that I can't sing, I've never really tried so this is a bit half-baked.

I wrote the song earlier today and put it to some photo's I've taken around Scotland, England and Wales.

Hopefully you'll enjoy it . . . even if that does require earmuffs.

Hi :D

Thankx for sharin' that 8)

Very enjoyable.

I was wondering if you were into photography...? - with a moniker like Yashicamat

I had no problem at all with your singing; very nice actually.
It was a bit muffled.
You got a nice voice, sing louder and bring it up in the mix :D

Great melody too.

The only 'complaint' I have is with the guitar that has effects on it.
It was a bit harsh, especially in contrast with the rest of the song's moodiness.
And, (personal preference here).... I would not put so much of the effect on it.

Other than that I loved it.

Beautiful photography 8)

Thanks. :D

The problem is I have no proper recording equipment . . . I actually recorded that using my mp3 player through one of those tiny little hole in the case mics!! But it's a better sound quality than my video camera. My amp fried my soundcard so I need to sort that out at some point.

I agree about the harshness . . . I think next time set it to the neck pickup and drop the tone down a few notches and we'll try again lol.

As for the muffled, yeah I noticed that too. Probably a combination of my singing inability and a dodgy recording medium!

Thanks for your comments too Jenny. :D I take photos most places I go, and given I've spent many times as much on my photography than I have on my guitars then I think it'd be safe to say I'm into photography.

I had to really quite push myself to post this actually . . . I have never sung before, and avoid it at all costs usually, but seeing as I wrote the song I felt I out to put some words to it as well and as there isn't anything else to compare it to (as it's my own work, as opposed to a cover and comparison to the original artist) I hoped that it wouldn't be too painful.

See, not so painful as you thought

And I can surely understand about the 'equipment' problems.
Given what you used - it sounds excellent!

Keep 'em comin'! :D

Not tooo painful.

A few people have said that it reminds them of a song . . . . no doubt something that's influenced me, but I don't suppose anyone recognises what it sounds similar to? :?:

Cool video, nice playing and you have a distinctive voice...sounds familiar but I can't think of who you sound like.

Some great pics. Props for having the cahones to post your song. Probably the toughest thing to do is expose yourself in this manner. In regards to what song it sounds like: have you heard Bruce Springsteens latest? "Radio Nowhere". By the way, I love that long exposure stuff. Running stream et al. Very cool. Especially in B & W.

Don't get down on your voice, It has a nice quality to it. I think you have something to work with. You just have to learn how to use it to your advantage.
