Hooray - it was a miracle! Both babies asleep and at the same time! :D And so now I finally finally have a couple new songs 8) and OK to show my face again as a practicing student of guitar
Sorry, I don't aspire to STH for reasons explained elsewhere. Prob same for a lot of other RNR staples, they leave my hippie soul a little flat .... come on now, I CAN drive 55! My apologies for deeply wounding some of you, I know
Hey Isabelle nice improvement  wow and that's just the hairstyle lol, the guitar sounds great compared to when you started and also sounds great period ... some people I don't know why they are on the beginner's thred - j/k- so anyway here is my idea of a beginner song - Comfortably Numb:

Chords are in the Easy Song section and some other comments but basically you get to see me do a REAL BARRE CHORD hahaha 8) or at least sort of. This song was another 'dare' from my teenager but thought I should share because it is SO EASY. Even for a song that every Guitar Hero thinks they can do better.
What if the Hokey Pokey IS what it's really all about?
~ why yes, I am available on youtube ~

Nice job Stellabloo 8) I'm hoping to get a webcam from Santa so I can join in on the fun :D
me too, only i'm my own santa! how much do they cost?
as an offshoot to this thread what does anyone think of the idea of picking a song and then everyone videoing or recording themseves playing it, then posting it here?
I think that'd be a very good idea, and certainly a challenge for people like me!
I'm up for that, but remember some of us are REAL beginners, so please, pick EASY songs and give us LOTS of time to practise ;)
And Ken, now THIS is what a beginner looks like:
He'll be two in two weeks time
me too, only i'm my own santa! how much do they cost?
I got mine three years ago for £35 ($70). I used it for the vid above. It has a built-in mic, can record vids and take stills. It's not great quality though and I normally use a digital camcorder for this.
Stella - one again, great job! I was wondering where you'd disappeared off to. Nice to have you back :)
Nice job Stella! :D
I, of course, would only want to do real beginner's songs. it's all i can handle, too, even though i've been playing a while. one song which would be good to do if you like fingerpicking is Brain Damage. I already know it but it's very recognizable easy to learn and play. if you like chords Have you Ever Seen the Rain would be a good one. I'm open to suggestions. I can record until I get a web cam.
Cute kid, Isabelle.
Isabelle, thats a cute kid :D I think he wants to play lap slide 8)
For the record, I'm still around. I was on vacation for a week and a half, and now I'm trying to get my fingers readjusted.
ooooops. just get a new guitar!
maybe a new husband and a new guitar....
awwwww. my cat Pearl, is gray and white too!
