Sounding good everyone! Keep it up!
Izzy, great job on the fingerpicking, it's sounding good. I think I've got the book that arrangement came from, it's got some pretty tricky passages! Great job!!
In Space, no one can hear me sing!
It's not a video, but it's the first recording material I had! Someone passed me a recorder and I decided to play a song. It's just a version of Dynamite but with partially different lyrics. Was doing a United Nations simulation, and decided to spice up the formal debates with some on topic music. The Chair didn't appreciate it ("ORDER! DELEGATE, SIT DOWN!") but the rest of the committee loved it. Hence, the more complete version!
- Messed up a few times
- I can't sing while playing electric, I'm still getting used to playing my acoustic.
- Any advice is always helpful, thanks!
Liontable, you rocked!
Great musicality. Keep 'em coming...
:)

That sounds very good! Good rhythm while singing. It seems you perform some pauses or change the rhythm while playing. Sometimes it is better, it breaks the monotony: up-down, up-down...
Keep playing!
Good job! :note1:
Another solo cover by me: 'Let it Be' by the Beatles. Couple of rough spots, could have been a bit more smoother i think but satisfied overall. Feedback welcome :)

Hi there Joe! Yes, it's #15 Pop Hits - though the one you mentioned isn't on there :?
I watched your Ben Harper one this morning btw - beautiful - it just FLOWS (don't know the song myself either). Very nice *claps*
I've finally created a YouTube account with yet another version of Imagine

That was pretty awesome!!!! Lot of feeling in it.

Sounding good man! Keep it up!

wow, this topic sure is a great way of encouraging beginners on their guitar playing. :)
especially if a beginner is self-taught, or attends one-on-one lessons, it can get kinda lonely being the only one you know at your skill level. having a place to share what we have learnt with others on the same boat does make the learning experience a whole lot more enjoyable!
well, i've been taking acoustic guitar lessons for about three months now, though my contribution would be a recording of me at around two and a half months. compared to every other player here, i truly am a newbie in its purest meaning, LOL. hopefully this will encourage more beginners to share their playing with the rest of us. ^_^
this is a short cover of Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me. yeah......i didn't choose the song. it just so happens it's a really simple song to play, and my teacher thought it would be appropriate for someone at my level. :D

i know there are soooo many mistakes there, and that there are so many areas more practice could fix. i'll practising lots and will hopefully upload another video soon that won't damage your ears with as many problems.

Two months and half? Are you sure? Your playing is great! I can hear a pretty good and constant strumming.
Congrats 8)
Hope you post more of your recordings!
Good job, bemusical.
What are the chords? . . . I'd like to give it a try.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
thank you! yep, two and a half months, though i think the palm muting helped cover up a lot of my sloppiness in my left hand. and i was lucky that some of the melody was added inside though, 'cause i didn't really know what i was doing, but i'll try to be more aware next time! i'll practising and would hopefully have improved by the next video. :)
oh, here're the chords:
[verse]
D
A
Em
G
[pre-chorus]
Em
G
D
A
Em
G
A (2 bars)
chorus uses the same chords and progression as the verses.
i think this is a simplified version for the beginners. i've seen tutorials of this song on YouTube and the chords they teach are completely different. anyways, have fun with them! :D
again, thanks very much for the encouraging words!

Cool post, KR2! Great song.
Nice playing and singing. Very expressive voice and great pitch.
Loved the old school move of the capo!
If I could offer something to revisit:
Pretty sure your strumming falls into a 3/4 waltz type rhythm while your singing is 4/4. They get out of sync from time to time and you have to rush the lyrics.
Good enough for me (rush: and my Bobby Magee).
I'd be curious to hear what it might sound like with guitar and vox recorded separately.
Regardless, cool job.
:)

Great job man!!
I enjoy hearing you play and sing....keep em coming!!
