Thanks, TR, boxboy, and Joe . . . for the encouragement.
I like those 'campfire' songs.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Great job! You have improved alot since the last video I watched.
Congrats! :D
great job Ken and nice singing.
Whoop whoop whoop - way to go Ken (KR2 that is...)...
If I still played and practiced I'd be as good as you now... :(
Keep working on the capo shift (although you seem to have the barre chords pretty much sorted now so can't see why you should need to move the capo) - Marc Bolan used the capo a lot and got it down to a fine art... I'm sure I read that somewhere...
Anyhows - don't know what made me return to beginners videos... just a little homesick I suppose...
Rock on!

I'm nowhere near Chicago. I've got six string, 8 fingers, two thumbs, it's dark 'cos I'm wearing sunglasses - Hit it!
Hello everybody, it's certainly been a while!
I just got a Zoom Q3 for my birthday last week, to help me with my recordings. It's a lot better than using your built-in laptop mics, that's for sure! Very happy with it.
Anyways, to test it out I recorded a song I wrote. It's still a work in progress, as I haven't finished the lyrics for the bridge and the final verse, but the general framwork is of it all is in place!
And if you could pull that rope just a little higher, we could dangle alone like a firefly.
I couldn't get it to play, LC.
I got the spinny buffering icon and then nothing. Anything other vid I clicked in the sidebar played fine, so maybe double check your settings?
:)

Hmm, not sure what that is about boxboy. Works on both my computers? :?
And if you could pull that rope just a little higher, we could dangle alone like a firefly.
Here's another recording of the same song, for those who couldn't get the YouTube video to work!

"Speak softly love" from godfather theme played by me:)
I know it's desecration of nice melody but effect is interesting in my opinion;p
What you think about it?
Here's me attempting to play slide on my Tanglewood. Need more practice. I got it going good then i hit the record button and lost it a bit!

Okay... after flaffing about for longer than I care to mention, I have finally managed to sing and play through a whole song.
I promised myself I would one day post something here.
Be gentle.

What I lack in talent and natural ability, I will have to make up with stubborness.
Be gentle.
Why? It was refreshingly different - well done.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Great to see this thread back up and running. )
Nice job, BK! It started well and got progressively better.
I really like your voice. Great timbre and musicality. You had some great moments where you played with the phrasing tempo a bit, those were my faves. Really made it come alive.
More please. :)

Sounds good! Yes, good to see life in this thread again.

That was awesome. I really enjoyed your singing style, and your arrangement of it. Good job!!
