well, one year ago we played our first gig and stumbled through some songs played very badly. i had been playing electric for about 6 weeks and agreed to put a gig on through a drunken bet (oops).
anyway, last night we returned to the same venue hoping to show some improvement but apart from my wife and brother (and the barman) nobody turned up. anyway, we played on for fun and my wife did some filming - and inspired by seeing david hodges band do an awesome sultans of swing i thought it might be nice to add a song performed from the other end of the quality spectrum. dont expect much, but thanks for watching, nobody else did!!
p.s any tips on the sound set up will be appreciated. thanks

you four have huge cahonies for playing that funk song. wow, two guitars. well done. funk requires complex beats, but your simple cover works. why, cause you were tight and the singer gave it up. bass and guitar were good. props.

cheers guys. its nice to know we are improving!at our (beginners) level we try to please by playing good songs tight as we can, but without doing anything that needs high levels of skill - your comments are well appreciated!

Very cool. Nice wah-rhythm -- that's what makes the song work for me.

I thought you guys did great, especially considering the lack of crowd. You still played with lots of enthusiasm and energy. You guys come across as a very fun band.

I thought the sound was good, I liked the singer and whoever was backing him up (drummer?). Everything was fine, you guys make a lot of noise for just guitar, bass, and drums.

I particularly enjoyed when you took a quick drink during the song, shows you are relaxed onstage. :D

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis

cheers wes - in fact, i never get the chance to have a beer as im the designated driver, but that night was different (no driving needed), so i had quite a few drinks on stage and needless to say - i suffered the next morning - in fact i was so hungover i managed to loose my overdrive pedal on the 5 minute walk home the next day

dont get me wrong thought, if people had actually been there i would not have touched a drop - i can play just as badly sober

Nice rhythm section 8) One of my favorite "Disco songs". God I hated Disco back in the 70's  But that was very cool 8)

BTW I loved the AWB :D
