Good evening all. I've been playing about with that Pink Floyd song again  and was getting a bit tired of following the exact tab so I've just kinda made it up as I've gone along, although I realise that I am still emulating the sound of the original in places. The first half of this solo I'm still working on to make a little more interesting, so I've just stuck the second half up for now. I realise things aren't too great just yet, but I'm only 8 months in (my excuse and I'm sticking to it :P ).

It's meant to be the second half of Comfortably Numb second solo . . . ish.

Wow! Thank you! I'm very flattered . . . I have only been playing 8 months, but that said I do put quite a bit of time into my playing (where I can fit it in around work lol, I even come home at lunchtime to play sometimes!). I actually found this solo impossible until I stopped trying to follow tabs and just played what I felt like playing. It's great fun to play along to though. :)

He he  not so sure about that!

I have learned to relax recently and am using something that a few weeks ago I'd never even contemplate . . a 2.0mm pick!! Seems to be working though . . . :)

Smokindog, yeah I think I know what you mean. I am getting there slowly! I am still having to concentrate on doing a lot of things at once, but things like my alternate picking seem to be more or less falling into place now without needing too much thought!
I am working on a full cover of the entire song now, although of course the second solo will be semi-improvised again to bring it down to a standard I can manage.
