Childhood Memories

Do you remember those days from the past?
Your mind bruised and tattered
Your dreams torn apart
A soul for sale
A body for rent
Trust noone
Expect nothing

Sounds like a PSA for the public access channel.

Very cleverly done. I'd hate to think this was something that had been preying on your mind for years, since you were a kid - if so, this is one helluva way to get it out of your system. If not (and I sincerely hope not) it's still a great piece of writing - the juxtaposition of the bittersweet music and the recorded voice works wonderfully well. I'll say it again, very clever and beautifully put together.

Sounds good. The end doesn't sit with me though. Personal opinion - I'd stretch out the lead piano line a little further (ends too quickly) and do something different with the ending (the children still sound the same). You'd think after the experience things would be different and they wouldn't sound as happy. I'd maybe try to slowly transpose the children's voices at the end to make them sound distressed or something.

All in all, everything fits perfectly but the end.
