This is the celt on vocal and acoustic with yours truly on bass, electric guitars, and lap steel. Kind of a 60,s Nashville, folkrock thing.

What You Think I Want You To Say
words and music by John P. Roche

Many people talkin' many different lines
Politician asks for votes
Says we'll all be doing fine
Preacher givin' sermons about the judgement day
The young bucks tell the old guard
Hey get out of my way

When you tell me that your lies are fact
Should I look you in the eye
Or keep one eye on my back
When you tell me what you think I want you to say
When I hear your truth with it many different sides
I want to stand and fight
Or should I run and hide
When you tell me what you think I want you to say

If I ask too many questions I hear too many lies
You'll love our huge selection
So come on down and buy
Business men and lovers sinners thieves and saints
Everybodys sellin'
Something that they ain't

When you tell me that your lies are fact
Should I look you in the eye
Or keep one eye on my back
When you tell me what you think I want you to say
When I hear your truth with it many different sides
I want to stand and fight
Or should I run and hide
When you tell me what you think I want you to say

When you tell me that your lies are fact
Should I look you in the eye
Or keep one eye on my back
When you tell me what you think that I want you to say
When I hear your truth with it many different sides
I want to stand and fight
Or should I run and hide
When you tell me what you think I want you to say
When you tell me what you think I want you to say

Thanks Dog,

I like what you did with it. There is this little part at the end
(the Carl Perkins part?) it reminds me also of Link Ray

Good Job as always

John

Thanks Guys, I had a blast doing it. :D Vic I haven't forgot the slide part for blood on Your Hands, I was just having a hard time coming up with a suitable part for it. I,m working on a song I posted in the song writers club section called Code Blue Blues, I hope to have it recorded in a few weeks. I need another verse to it yet :D -the dog

"re - Blood on your hands"..... been playing that in the pub last couple of weeks, been jamming with one of the lads, he's also working on a solo for it....thing is, when someone else plays the rhythm, I can cocentrate on the harmonica parts...going to take the comp in there next week, see if I can get a "live" version....

Hmmm.....when I posted "BOYH" a lot of people picked up on the Dylan influence.....seems "WYTIWYTS" shares the same influence....maybe we should all get together and start a "Songs Dylan never got round to writing" forum....

Oh yeah, and I'm practising that blues harp like crazy.....

:D :D :D

Hey Vic

I love your idea about the "Songs Dylan never got round to writing" forum.

Or maybe we could do Dueling Bobs

Hope you get the Live version of BOYH I would enjoy hearing it.

Sounds great guys. Love the vocal style celt, sounds really cool.

Smokin', nice work as ALWAYS. Guitar sounded amazing, loved the solos, and all the little touches.

I think the vocals could be turned up a touch, sometimes it was a little hard to distinguish what was being said.

Loved it,

Taso
