Hey fellas.
http://www.putfile.com/sagee408/media
This is a recording of me singing you and me by lifehouse and it's my life by bon jovi.
(The recording is ghetto- just used the built in speakers of my laptop- so don't expect high quality sound- but you can hear me sing quite clearly so)
If you could offer your honest opinion, I'd be very grateful.
(no need to be nice here, the more you're like simon from american idol, the better)
Thanks.
Not bad for a start :D Seems a little stiff to me, The strumming could be more even, Sounds like your straining a bit on the vocal, but you have a good voice, just keep working at it. I'm not the best one to offer advice on singing though
BTW I moved your post to the "Hear Here" forum. Your more likely to get some good advice here.--the dog

The all part needs more dynamic control. Or, try leaning back and direct your voice away from the mic.
Like dog, I think you have a good voice but, you do need to invest more time to fine tune it. How many times have you practiced the singing part? You need to practice that just as much as the guitar part.
I don't think the song is out of your reach, just needs more time invested.
Sounds like voice lessons would be a good idea, and I don't mean that too say you have a bad voice, you seem to have strong voice it just needs refinement. Of course i'm giving a laymans opinion my singing ain't professional either
