This is my first attempt at a song. It's only 30 secs long but it's got the ideas I've come up with so far. I could make it a little longer but it doesn't really add anything. Also it was recorded on a computer mic so quality is pretty poor.

Also. I generally have the problem that I can come up with riffs but never the rest of the song. Does any one else have this problem, know how to get past it?

Unfortunately I had to sing on it as I don't know any other people to do it :)

Any feedback would be great.

edit: Forgot to add file link!

Sounds like a great start to a song. Your voice seemed fine to me as well (which will sound even better with a better mic).

I too can sit around noodling and come up with a ton of little riffs that I like but never seem to come up with a whole song to go around them. My problem I'm sure is my limited knowledge on song writing. I hoping once I get a better understanding of both the guitar and song composition it'll be better. I have a ton of ideas but can't seem to get them out properly.

Anyway, keep it up. Sounds good!

Put a song file together and keep all your doodling in it :D same with lyrics, even just a line or two, just pop it in a folder/file and you will be surprised how many ideas you will accumulate  Try writing an outline of what you want to write , not unlike you may do in English 101 when writing a story or a paper. also check out rhyme zone http://www.rhymezone.com/ this helps me a lot!!! :D
BTW, that was a good start :D Your singing will get better , keep at it and find your own voice  --the dog

Nothing wrong with your voice at all, you just have to be more confident when singing. Now it just sounds like you are trying to keep your voice down so you wont wake your mother (I do this a lot myself :P ).

This song is quite high for my voice so I have problems being loud. As all thing practise I suppose.

Thanks for the feedback though.
