Should be five months because that is how long I have been away from recording. Been playing plenty of guitar though while re-building my bedroom studio. Have now fully switched to Cubase 5 and this is the first track I have recorded using it.
Hit music and Five Nights should be on the top left :?

Ditto! You are an inspiration!
Thank you my friends for listening and commenting much appreciated, changing programs as in DAW is not to be recommended at a certain age. Old habits die hard but I must admit Cubase 5 was worth the effort.
Hope you are all riding the storm.

Ha and what a long one my friend as you know I just could not get into Cubase at all. After deciding to upgrade to Cubase 5 and also getting a new PC I made the decission to only install Cubase 5 on it. No excuses after that and it worked as I had to get my old head around it. Kept playing guitar during these months but no recording until this track and played with a big smile.
Hope all is well with you, best,
Gerry

gerry. I record using cubase essental 4. I have heard many good things about C5. so far what I have is more than enough. I barely use all it offers. I do need and soon a good mastering program. but my pocket is full of dust.
glad you are back.

I know what you mean and I am only touching the surface with 5 but I will get there. My main mastering plug-in is Ozone 4 which I can highly recommend. I have also been considering Wavelab 6 but Sony Soud Forge 9 gets great reviews and is almost half the price. Although to be honest I am not convinced I really need either.

Nice to listen your new recordings again. I also was out the forum some time. It is always a pleasure and a source of inspiration to listen your recordings.

Gerry, as always, first class.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
I think for some reason this is the first time i have heard one of your posts in hear hear - probably becuase i only joined the site last year and it took me a long time to realise what this page was about - but i really liked that. dont leave it another 5 months!

I have major problems with the time stealers hence my poor attendance. What with a studio rebuild, new gear, work etc I just run out of time. Thanks for the kind words.
Best,
Gerry
