cool stuff. I really liked the first one. the ending got a bit too Radio heady, but the the first 3/4's felt original, musical, and the tracks were cool. the vocals have that Jeff Tweedy quality. your harmony tracks worked great.
I didn't have time to properly give the second one a listen.
yeah. let's her more.
Thanks man. I've never heard a Jeff Tweedy comparison. Sweet.
I don't think something can be too Radiohead-y :P. but ya. I see what you mean.

Heh, cool. The ending does have a radiohead-esque vibe but also shares something with Coldplay, some melodies in the end really reminded me of the more hazier vocals on their last album. I don't hear any 3/4 though but that might be because i"m deaf, I count everything as 4/4 anyway. :D The second one started great, very moody. Cool use of vocal dubbing, good coice of low-fi sounds. I'd personally make the guitar a bit less boomy (use an EQ to cut the low freqs and boost around 3k).
A small suggestion: try adding some compression over the final track, it's very thinny and soft. A nice comp/limiter would give it a lot more balls. I cant figure out how to download tracks on MS but if you send me a link I'll give it a shot if you want. Anyway, really kickass. keep 'em coming! Working with GB is really restricting in a way so that makes it even more impressive. Looking forward to your next one (and added you to MS)!
Hey Taylor, good to hear from you :D I was just listening to some of yor stuff in the car last wek. Is the band still together? I haven't been on line as much as I used to be.
i liked the second song best. Kind of reminded me of John Lennon ....not sure why :?: But then I think most folks tend to relate songs to other artists. I hope things are going well with you :D
Heya ken. Yeahhh my drummer started to go down a path I didn't want to go and my bassist was living out of town so I decided to end it. Oh well. But now I'm doing solo stuff and looking for a band to play with. Can't seem to find people I enjoy playing with yet, but I'm confident it will happen.
Anyways, I just got Logic Pro 8 for early christmas (from myself no less!). A complex program for sure, but I love it though. I recorded a few new tracks, ones just guitar and the other one has other stuff too. Lemme kno what you think!
