Here's a new creation, lots borrowed and mostly blue. For those not as ancient as me, who might not know the melody at the end, it's a classic big band era song called Sentimental Journey. Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated, as always.

Listening to it now. Very nice indeed. Very good lead there!
Love the SRV feel the rhythm has too!

Good job! :D

The backing track is very well selected. I like the rhythm guitar, too. The lead one is cool! 8)

Thanks, y'all. It's fun to put one together from nothing to backing track and then add the lead. Appreciate your comments.

Oh, man this was brilliant. :)
Made me scramble for my guitar right away, hoping I could get in on the action.
I'd swear your opening chord progression is referencing an old standard as well, but for the life of me I can't remember the song...it's like a heavy version of Steam Heat.
Great job!
:)
Psst...check your PMs...

Edit: Doh! Tuxedo Junction?

Thanks, dude. Yeah, there's some of that there now that I listen again. Someone else said it feels a bit like the riff for Humble Pie's version of I Just Love Her so, off the Live at the Fillmore album. Glad ya liked it.
