Quite an impressive website, Gerry. Very classy (understated elegance, as my wife would say).
Your recordings sound so amazing. . . . professional quality.
Thanks for sharing your work/play.

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Good stuff Gerry, I would love to hear some upbeat blues from you.

And what gear are you using?

Thanks :-) guitar wise my main go to guitar these days is a Tom Anderson Cobra S although I used the Epi Sheraton for the lead. All through a Vox Tonelab LE and into a Yamaha 01X. Recorded in Sonar 7 PE and my main plug in for almost everything is iZotope Ozone, final mix in the 01X. Interestingly this was all recorded via my Laptop as my main PC is away for an update.

Hi Gerry,

I think that's "won".... :P

Sorry, but after listening to some of your tracks I need to reassure myself that you are at least capable of making the occasional tiny mistake...

Excellent work, especially the amazingly clear and classy production. It's certainly given me something to aim at - even if I would need a powerful set of telescopic sights to even catch a glimpse of the target from where I'm currently standing.....

Thanks for posting.

Chris

Thanks Dereck I reckon tone comes from fingers, pups, guitar, amp or modeller and things like eq, compression etc. The laptop really has nothing to do with it except it works fine as a vehicle for the sequencer. Out of evrythimng I would say fingers have more influence on tone than most people believe but that's just MHO.

best,

Thanks Randy, gave up on Cubase LOL just coudn't get on with it and I'm back with my old favorite Sonar 7 PE which works fine with the Yamaha 01X. Yes just a little touch of subtle slide as I like to fit in little bits to add to rather than take away if you know what I mean. Total of six tracks on this as sometimes less is more.

Hope all is well with old friend,
