Took a break from singing for a few days to let whatever voice I have rest up before getting into some other lessons.

So I decided to record this from my Fingerpicking Standards book, I think it turned out pretty good. I've only heard the UB40 version though, so I tried my best to use the music in the book, and not just something from my head. Let me know what you think!

Good cover Joe! Very smooth!

Really it seems very easy when I watch your fingers. And that is not easy to achieve! :D

Beautiful, Joe.
I like the hammer ons.
I remember that song from the Elvis Presley movie, Blue Hawaii.

What's the title of the book? Link?

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Thanks guys!

Ken: Here is the link to the book Fingerpicking Standards

The arrangement is pretty straight forward, so I added something like the hammers and some bass notes, but not a whole lot, just wanted to fill it out some.

I still haven't bought an acoustic yet.
And I'm considering buying a classical guitar.
And from what little experience I've had with them . . . which is picking one up in GuitarCenter and trying to finger some chords . . . it wasn't too comfortable for me.

So, my question is, how much easier is playing "I Can't Help Falling In Love" on your classical than a regular acoustic or better yet, an electric?
What would be the difficulty in playing that song on a non-classical guitar?

For me playing that song on an acoustic is quite a bit harder because the song rather F chord heavy, and I still cannot hit that F chord consistently. Electric it would be no problem, I can hit it there and on my classical without any effort at all. So it would be more difficult on an acoustic, and about the same on an electric I would think.

If you find the classical that you looked into a bit un-comfortable, there are classicals (like mine) that have a thinner neck and are actually made for the acoustic player in mind.

Hope this helps!

I enjoyed that! Very well done. It really suits the classical guitar sound too.

Very nice as always, Joe!
