This is a song that I wrote about my Dad. When I played it for my co-workers, two of them started sobbing.
But my question is: is this song toooo sad, like 'depressing' sad:

I played all the instruments and I sing on it. BTW, in the beginning of the video, you can briefly see both my pseudonym and also my real name--I had to use an alias/pseudonym on YouTube because of a certain slightly controversial music video on my channel, but that's another story....

is it too sad? I dont think so... having lost my dad last year, and my Mom 4 years ago... I gotta say it did hit me a bit, and Im sure others will relate to the thoughts and feelings the song brings up.. But isnt that the point??

Well hey, I live in Hawaii!!

Most people here wear tank tops, shorts and slippers most of the time, unless you're at work.

After all, even during the winter here, it's like 78 to 80 degrees in the daytime, so you don't want to wear too much more clothes than necessary.

I wrote another song that is the sequel to the song/music video in post #1. Well maybe not a 'sequel' exactly, but more like a spiritual successor. This song was written about one year after my Dad died, while the song in post #1 was written about a month after he passed away, but I didn't make a music video of the older song until October of last year. Consequently the time line of when the videos were made is reversed, the video below was made first, but as I said, it was written about a year after my Dad died. Some have found it sad too, but to me, it's more about healing and moving on, because it was written later than the first song, and so there was more reflection in the song. Recently, a Hospice worker that I met when my Dad was in Hospice, has been using this song in her monthly meetings with grieving family members who have recently lost a family member. This is another song that I wrote about my Dad, I wrote it around the same time as the song in post #1, and maybe it's not as sad as the music video in post #1 above, but it's still kinda sad. Although I don't mention the word "Dad" in this song or refer to a father, I was thinking of him when I wrote this song:
