Hi everyone

I'm not very good and want a honest review on my playing , it's just a little tune I made up while practicing the key of C ,

I used Am - G - Em - C in a muddled up order , I started this picking the bass note and fiddling with the strings then one down strum .

And for the life of me I can't stop doing it AGHHHHHHHHH

Anyway can someone give me a honest review if it is really bad ????????

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELLLLLL MEEEEE

Hilch

Hilch , its just a progression.

So on its own it sounds good. But you need to put lyrics to it and make it more uniform.

You can also add a solo to it.That would make it sound better.

I wouldn't stop picking the bass note and then strumming, it sounds good. Kinda catchy. The only thing I can think of is finding a way to end the progression, it cuts off kind of suddenly.

I think the rhythm sounded nice, there were a couple misses in the flow but its not easy keeping an even flow when your trying to pick and strum, even if its just a base note. I know because its one of my weak areas. I hear people like james taylor and jim croce do it so naturally and wonder how much work and practice it must take

Hi Hilch, my honest opinion ?,
well I think its bloody good mate, and Im not just saying that to make you feel good. You appear to be picking the correct base note for each chord, which is always a good sign. Now try this just for fun, on each chord change pick the base line as an open string just a split second before you fret it. That should give you a "hammer on" effect which can sound pretty cool.

cheers

Paul
