Overall -- okay. Sort of wedding bandish, but that's pretty much where I place this tune.
Vocal Tends to country, a good stylistic match for the tune. This version helps me imagine how a Willie Nelson cover vocal would sound. That's something I wouldn't mind hearing, BTW.
Playing Overall good, with these exceptions: There is a lot of obvious compression on the main riff to level it -- or maybe it's a lot of fader riding. It's disconcerting because it makes the attacks vary. The solo is a bit too uptight in places -- choice of notes and country direction is good, but the busy bursts of quick runs are contrary to the laid-back feeling. If he'd relax it more, keeping the same general melodic/harmonic structure, then it would be perfect.
