My Disclaimer:

First off, it's rude, really, really rude. I wouldn't want my children or yours to hear it. If you don't have a sick and twisted sense of humor, don't listen. If you are easily offended, don't listen. If adult language and acts illegal in many states bother you, do not click the link. You have been warned. If you thought Continental Cowboy was rude, Hah! That was nothing. I realize that on this forum this disclaimer is a little like trying to scare sharks away from a boat by putting blood in the water, but I warned you.

This song is humor. Sick humor, but humor nonetheless about how one says "I love you". It may be part of a musical comedy act at some point, I don't know. That was the intent anyway.

This was recorded directly to mic with my Adamas 1598 12 string overdubbed with my Taylor 712. I used Acid Pro to record, but no looping was used. It still needs a bit of work, but it's definitely listenable.

Same here. Any chance you can use box.net or something? I don't mind registering itself but I don't really need more mails telling me I could do with an extra inch or two...

Sure, let me find a different host. I think it's because I rated it adults only they are requiring you to register.

As a simple host I like box.net better, as long as it's under 10mb (free account) you can use whatever bitrate you'd like, plus you don't have to register to download. Soundclick has a nicer page and it shows all your tunes to people. Lately SC seems to be having some server problems but they regularly expand their system so I doubt it's a long term issue.

Allrighty then,
First I must admit that when I saw the initials of the song, and the warning I was able to figure out the name before I heard the song. And then thought, "No that's just my perverted sense of humor at work. He wouldn't"
Well you did.

Second, security is tight, I was patted down. All sharp instruments were removed from me before I could enter AcidPlanet sense the rating was %#*&#.
And then even though I selected that as my rating, it set it at a lower level so I had to go back and change my setting.

Whew! Finally got to the song;

Great voice,
Great guitar sound
Lyrics? Rated XXX

Let's just say, I've seen a side of GuitarNoise I didn't know existed.

The backside!

Brings back the romance in the marriage, huh?

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Thanks for the kind words KenRogers2. I appreciate it.

I added a link to box.net here and at the top of the page. I'll post a higher quality version of it tonight.

Okay....fortunately I work with truck drivers all day. Song wise....well....it was amusing. The music was well done. Some things maybe just as a suggestion: back up from the mic a bit. Try to stay about 4" away or more. I know this will make you have to turn it up a bit but I think it will take some of the boxiness out of the vocals. There's a lot of the room sound with the acoustics. You could bring the mic a bit closer to the guitar. Either way, the guitars could come up in the mix a bit. Anyway a nice(?) sounding track.

thank hueseph, I'll try your suggestions. Getting the vocals right in the mix is a trick. Maybe I'll stop being so lazy and plug the guitar in next time.

    Ever thought of getting work as part of a Blink 182 tribute band?

How you got through that without corpsing, I'll never know. And I thought my G String blues was rude.

Is it available as a ringtone, perchance?

If I ever go to prison, I will insist on soap on a rope.

Thanks Hueseph, I re-recorded the vocals and I think it made a huge difference. I haven't got to the guitars yet, but with the new vocal track I could crank the guitars up a notch to bring them a bit forward.

The guitar progression & vocal melody is very catchy. I think you did a very good job on the vocals, and I like the way you overdubed the vocals on the chorus too. The actual lyrics... , we'll, you warned us! Even though they are very adult content, you did a nice job telling the story, and the lyrics are well thought out. Now, let's see if this will make the opening track for "The Best of GN 2008"!  I'd love to hear David cover this one at his General Store gig!
