I never heard of this song before, but it was in my Total Guitar magazine and I liked it a lot. Its got a real raw punk rock feel, and was fun to learn - I recorded it quickly to keep the raw feel.

It's Red Flag by Billy Talent...please let me know what you think...Comments appreciated - on playing, tone, phrasing, anything.....

This is the original song.....

Its a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.

That is a cool song I liked it and you did a good job with it. I never heard of Billy Talent but I'll have to check his stuff out

Wicked playing, tone and timing. How did you record this? Mic? Line in? Is it a SSS HSS or HH Strat?

By the way, Billy Talent is a band name, there is no one named Billy Talent in the band.

Thanks OWA - i recorded it straight into the sound card using a Boss GT-6. My strat is a std SSS with DIMARZIO pickups (Its a MIM - but I upgraded all the guts)

Its a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.

Nice work NTG.

Which edition of TG was that in? I must have missed that one. Might go back and have a go at this myself. Sounds like a great tune to play.

Great tune. One of my favorite current bands. Nailed the tone. Very nice.

One of my favorite 38 Special songs to play. You did a great job! I don't sing when I play this (or any) song - I would scare people!
