Any comments welcomed. All songs are recorded through a crappy headphone/mic set so the quality leaves a lot to be desired .. but they're still listenable. Thanks.
Good job :D I really liked "Waystation" a lot. How are you recording this? sounds pretty good :D --the dog
Thanks. The recording .. well it's really quite complicated and technical ... ::cough::
Single track using Creative Recorder (supplied with SB Audigy sound cards) ... through an Altec Lansing headphone/mic combo ... the kind you use for voice chat or what not. The mic is just laying on top of my keyboard while I play - professional I know. It gets recorded as a .wav file .. then I convert it to .mp3.
I have a Shure (something model) microphone ... but everytime I use it to record I get way too much background noise. Probably the adapter I'm using to connect it with. Either way .. the method I'm using seems to be decent enough to get my point (or lack thereof) across. I suppose the next logical step would be to try simple 2 track recording ....
You might try Audacity, It has lots of editing functions like noise removal, EQ, compression, and tons of other editing tools. It also has 16 track recording capabilities, and did I mention ITS FREE :D Also you might cut out some noise if you use a mixer. you can get a good mixer for around $50.00 US that has phantom power.--the dog
this is a link to a good cheap mixer
