Ok since Roy guilted me into putting something out there and this is the only crap I have lets' see if this works.

Disclaimer: I can't write enough about what's wrong with this so I won't bother although the video does get cut off before the end so you miss the little outro solo.

This is pretty bad I have to say but hey let the bashing begin. I even forgot some of the lyrics. But this is just us messing around on a Friday night this summer.

I'm not so embarassed about the shoddy playing cuz if I remember this night was a bit of a joke (That's why I had the crap tied to my head...I'm thinking Budweiser here)

But you'll see why we never wanted to play out the singing is pretty awful if I do say so myself.

[img]<img class="go2wpf-bbcode" src=" http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g52/cnev1/th_MVI_2104.jp g">[/img]

And more to ruin your day:

[img]<img class="go2wpf-bbcode" src=" http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g52/cnev1/th_MVI_2103.jp g">[/img]

And this it may be cut short

[img]<img class="go2wpf-bbcode" src=" http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g52/cnev1/th_MVI_2143.jp g">[/img]

Last one and you'll never see me again.Hey Roy I really buthcer this solo at the end. I wonder why I have no videos of me nailing it..

Woo Hoo!!! footage of the cnev Friday night band sessions. You guys had it going on. The camera-person had a little too much bud too.

Seriously, though, you guys did have a good sound and tempo going. You could tell that even through the camera's audio recording. I'm jealous. I wish I could sound good sober. You guys rocked.

There's something I've noticed in lots of people's postings. They say there's mistakes galore, but I never catch them. I get caught up listening to the song and I guess I gloss over. I'll listen tomorrow again, this time with headphones and turned up some. Nothing too loud tnoight for me, I'm afraid. Still, it's all better than I can do.

Oh, I forgot to ask. How did the "The Pusher" jam go?

And for the record, I wasn't trying to guilt anyone. Nor extort, badger or prod heavily. Well, yeah, maybe the prod thing.

How cool is that!

That looks like a lot of fun . . . and that's what really matters.
Not too much more American than a garage band . . . rock on!

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Well there ..... that didn't hurt too much did it? I think it was cool. Makes me miss jamming with a drummer .... but not enough to hold on for Tommy. OK, so how far is it to your house... oh yeah, we've been through this. Seriously, I had no problem with that. That is rock and roll brother! Looked like a heck of a lot of fun. I think people will pay to see you have fun.

Roy on these songs it wasn't so much about the playing mistakes as it was the bad singing. I know for the song I sang the Kings of Leon one, that was the worst I sang that song pretty much ever I even forgot the lyrics.

The other Pearl Jam song that the guitar player Justin sang was tough for him it's not really in his range and he was off on alot of notes but neither one of us would want to sing in public like that.

TR the only reason I have these our alternate drummer stopped by with his camera. I'm trying to upload one more it's a long one the Thin Lizzy Song Still in Love with you. I keep getting an error I think it's to big it'll probably be cut off.

I might have one more I'll check.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the really rockin songs we did like Tie your Mother down or You got another thing coming.

Roy I'll comment on the Pusher in another thread.

Really enjoyed those cnev - great to see how other bands do their thing and i have to say im very jealous of your practice space!!

I thought the songs were great and really well played - especially the third link you posted.

I also really enjoyed use somebody, and i have to say your drummer looked like he enjoyed it too - that man can really play them drums!!!

my only issue on my end is that my only speakers are my laptop speakers which dont do bass well at all, so i could barely make out what he was doing - i need decent speakers!

sneaking a third one in, eh?

Was that you hitting some bum notes and shaking your head at approx the 1:24 mark?

I heard the ones at the end too. There was one point way near the end where you were way down the neck and it almost sounded like the pickups were not getting driven or something. I don't know what causes that. I don't/can't play very loud even with my system/rig at the desk, so i get that a lot if I venture past the 17th or 18th fret. I rarely do, so it doesn't matter.

Anyhow, the third link's song sounded like at one point that it skipped a 1/4 beat or something. That brief little delay that happens as someone loses the spot or doesn't hear what they expect to hear. Other than that, and a few bum notes, it was really good.....especially for a practice. I can see & hear where your work on your solos is paying off big-time. Not that it's any sort of competition, but that's something you'll always have on me.

Good job!

Roy you bast@rd only kidding I'm sure there are some bum notes I'd have to listen again not sure about what time other than the end.

The end we struggled with until right before the other guitar player died it's a harmony part that we play together. The notes are easy it's coming into it at the same time was the issue always so If one of us was off we'd pause and try to sync up with the other one. It's a long song like 7:55 or something. Not trying to make excuses it is what it is.

When we did this good it sounds awesome there are two very distinct guitar parts and there were some back and forth soloing that goes on. Lot you can do with it.I slaos had an error uploading it so it may have got a glitch from that I don't remember any pauses, except the actual ones in the song which there are.

I don't think anything happened at 1:24 other than I look like a duffuss but in the solo I messed up because he ended up cutting the first part short and playing something different and I was used to the change but I take the blame on that but then yea we are defintely off big time on the harmony ending but that's why they serve alcohol!

Now that's something I've heard a lot over the years.
I don't think anything happened at 1:24 other than........
I on occasion play with a bass player. I can sense when I've botched something up. It's a similar look.
