The drum tracks are amazing!

It remembers to a song of Circle du Soleil, I think a song of Dralion. I should check it. The rhythm is incredible!

And for the lead instrument, what did you use? A synth?

Very good job! :D

Thanks!

Hey dog. I love the percussion in this. I've always liked songs that built on top of the percussion the way this one does. Has a great feel to it. No lyrics/vocals? Not that I think it needs it but was just wanting to hear you sing to this one.
Very well done!!!

thanks for listening. I am beginning to work with poly rhythms. I have always been facinated by how they build and work.
these tracks are built from a keyboard using vst instruments. my acoustic is on one track. I play just three notes.
I made section copies and then spliced and pasted to make this.
nuno, the lead is not guitar/synth. it is a keyboard trombone of all things. a friend dropped by while I was pasting the percussion together. he then did an off the cuff riff. one take was perfect.

as usual, I am exploring my interests in different styles of music.

no vocals this time. I would like to hear an all female chorus singing nonsense sylables or something.
women of guitarnoise, anyone?

Celebrating . . . .
I'm dancing to this . . . sort of a penquin walk . . . backwards then forwards . . . .
one hand on the stomach, the other in the air . . . . . swing those hips.
Wheeew! LOL
Kewl beat, Randy.

(OK, that was my morning exercise)

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

I like very much the idea! Something like tribal chants!

I was listening several times tonight and now, too. I'd describe the piece as "hypnotizing". I like very much the rhythm, it is perfect for running long distances.

Hypnotizing is the right word here. Nice one, don't think something like this has been posted here, not as far as I can remember atleast. A minor critique: I don't like the sound of the keybord brass very much. It's very sterile and flat, maybe you could automate the volume slider a bit to breath some life into it?

If I had a Kaoss Pad this would be the first song I'd load into it!

thanks for the great comments.

this was tricky to put together. I remain somewhat unhappy that the rhythm track is slightly off at times. some notes cancel another. little things.
I don't think something like this has appeared here before. this is kinda white boy afro beat. I wanted to add some afro style guitar licks but they were difficult to make and include. things got too busy in the mix.
ignar...you are right on about the trombone. the long melody sounds flattened. the short note bursts work better.
my friend dug the beat and grabbed the midi keyboard. it was a spontaneous lick; like jamming.

I am going to do more of these things. improve beats, voices etc.
thanks for listening and feeling the beat. 8)

Really enjoyed this!

The sound kind of reminds me of a video game score from the old Super Nintendo days, and when I was listening I couldn't get out of my head a 16 bit character running around a jungle town exploring and such.

It's funny how music can bring up very different images for different people from the same tune.

In Space, no one can hear me sing!
