Check it out. Be kind, its the first time Ive really tried to write a song and bring it full circle into a song. Ive done some simple stuff before but this had structure...

Anyways, tell me what you think. Another vocalist was gonna come in a do it (the band vocalist) but he couldnt get it today, we only had like an hour. Hes coming in tomorrow to see if we can get something.

I tried to overdub lead and everything, but nothing was satisfactory. I had acoustic guitars, 3 electrics going, the works. It wasnt working for me. So I just left that crap out, it wasnt how the song sounded in my head, but that song did have organ so late tonight i recorded some organ and then i mixed it. Tell me what ya'll think. Thanks.

Kinda cool; much better than I could do. However, it sounds a bit too much like The Clash for my taste.

A sucking chest wound is Nature's way of telling you to slow down.

Godin Freeway Classic, PodXT Live, Seymour-Duncan 84-50.
(All this so I could learn 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little' Star for my youngest.)

I love it :D I didn't like the lyrics all that much when you posted them but I love them with the music, puts a whole new prospective on them. The music is great, kinda 50's with some punk added, very much your own sound i think. the organ sounds great and sets the mood for the song!!!! It may be a bit rough around the edges but it works, I wouldn't polish it to much :D You guys rock :!: --the dog

Yeah, great job. I really liked it. I'm not gonna repeat my whole post, but yeah, definitly a little 50's vibe in there. Sounded great, loved the style, original stuff. NICE.

I thought MAYBE, that the vocals might have been slightly off-key? If I'm the only one who feels this way, ignore me, I may just be crazy.

Nice job either way, music was awesome especially.

They were. I had been singing some backup vocals earlier to see if thatd fit (it was gonna be in the chorus) but it didnt. Then I did a scratch vocal just to show our singer how I wanted them sung, but it was far from perfect because my voice was nearly shot from holding out the notes in the backup singing. When our vocalist couldnt get it down I just used mine... Thats why its not that great, but Im gonna redo them sometime within the next month. The band is trying to get out an EP before the show so maybe we can sell it a bit.

The vocals did sound a little off, but pretty good, and the guitars sounded great. When I heard it, a vision of the "Happy Days" band poped into my head (no kidding). Over all, really good. Good luck on December 17th!!

To my ears, very late-50's early 60's retro - but with a slightly more modern vibe....

I like it, vocals aren't that bad, sound like you're straining a bit in places, but you got your excuse in early.....

Lyrics actually sound better with the music, they go together well.....

Anyway, enjoy the gig, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you....rock the joint, Izzy!

:D :D :D
