If I could get some opinions, I'd much appreciate it. I haven't really been recording things that long but I thought I'd give this a shot. This is a song called Rex's Blues by Townes Van Zandt. I'd love to know what you think of my voice and my fingerpicking and of course, any pointers you could throw my way. I apologize for the rather low quality, but this is the best I can do given what's available to me right now.
wow. this is really nice. the recording quality aside, you have a good voice and your playing is perfect.
I love the song. the phrasing and your playing is engaging.
upgrade to a better recording system and you'll be signed in no time.
I give this a nine and a half. :)
I agree with DB on this one.
Good job but the recording needs to be improved for fidelity.

"I play live as playing dead is harder than it sounds!"
Wow, thanks for the compliments!
As far as recording is concerned, I've heard that MiniDisc recorders can be a cheap way to get decent quality recordings. Does anyone have any experience using this format?
Nice song and perfectly played! Thanks for sharing. :D
On MD. I have a MD, the first NetMD by Sony, I think it is the N1 model. The quality is very good but you can not extract or copy the music from the MD to a computer, they say "download" the music. I don't know if the new models can do it, currently I don't follow the news on MD.
The MD's are not cheap products. I bought an external audio board and a condenser mic this month. They are cheaper than my MD. You could think about it.

Yes Sir even bad recording equipment can't hide talent.

Those who can't dance always blame the band.
