Well , today , as the recording pangs took better of me , i made three more.

1.Candle in the Wind - Elton John

2.Evergreen Tree - Cliff Richard

3.Leaving on a Jet Plane - John Denver

These are in general acoustic songs only , and i wish , i had another guitarist with me or atleast more memory...

Please hear them out and leave the comments. All my great listeners , I salute you :)

Rahul

Rahul, very, very nice stuff! I haven't gotten around to listening to all of them yet, but what I have is really good.

You do a nice job with everything, but what I noticed the most is how well you sing considering english isn't your native language (I assume). Nicely done!

Jason , most people say your way to me...and some even said - ''Now you stop everything buddy , take a flight to USA or UK and start producing your hits"

Wish I could be someday involved in music that much.Your listening and blessings help a lot.

Thanks ,:D

Rahul,

Great work. One year in, no less. I am very much impressed with your playing and singing. I'd write more but I just decided listening to you that I needed to practice more. Oh much much much more.

Thanks buddies.

I will make even more of them after my tests (which will span over this month plus till the 6th of may)

And not only you , i , really need to improve a lot too.Its time that i start learning to how to play with a pick and improve my fingerstyle , so that i can play leads that way.

I also need to work upon more chord and scales knowledge and apply them on the guitar fretboard.

Finally , you can also join discussions at Artist forums - http://www.forumcircle.com/artists

Ok now , back to the study table :)

I only picked up a guitar seven months ago so I'm no expert, but I thought you played very well. Good sense of rhythm, overall, really solid work. I aspire to do anywhere near as well when I hit my 1 year mark. Keep up the hard work!

Hey , a long update...

Today the soundclick admin sent me an email telling me to put all my songs in the 'Cover Songs' genre.Well , i was a bit ruffled so i just shot off that if he is thinking about getting my songs off , then , its his wish. (Yea , they had deactivated my account , if you know what that means !)

Well , now the songs are in either Pop or Acoustic genres (Or country , blues ) and under the cover songs heading.

Thanks a lot again for making the songs heard by all of you...I still get an average of 50-60 song plays a day :D

Looks like your site is still up, I was just playing some of your tunes :D So...Why not just do as they requested and change your genre to " Cover Tunes" :?: If you read the agreement you singed, they don't allow cover tunes unless you have permission from the copy-rite owner of that song. I'm surprised they are not making you take them off completely. Soundclick provides us with a great service for FREE :D So I for one hope you would just move your tunes to "cover Tunes" and keep your page up. That way we can keep up with your progress--the dog

Yup , i have now moved them under the cover songs genres.

And the copyright...

Well , i am not selling my songs off their site.If i want to do so , then , of course , permission has to be sought from the original publisher.(That means i have to email paul mccartney asking him - 'Sir , may i record 'You got to hide your love away' ?')

After my papers , i am definitly going to post more songs.Making my own is not easy as i have little knowledge of different chords or lets says that i want my 'own' song to be very good.

Soundclick is a great site offering us not only their free service but also allowing to sell the songs for a certain price.(and no registration fees for that !)

If i have to give a little hint of my next songs , i guess they would be of Eric Clapton. (and more beatles of course...)

This is the "official" word from Soundclick regarding covers :D http://www.soundclick.com/solutioncenter/default.cfm?subOf=134 The thing is , even if we are not selling our covers, they are on a site that makes money by having music posted and people streaming and downloading tunes--even if they don't charge anything to download the site makes money from advertisements. --the dog

It seems all you have to do is put it in the cover song genre and as long as its not for download and only stream your OK. What about back track music you find on the net though and play a solo too? I guess you wait till you sell if that ever happens. The cover songs are sticky.....I would have to find people like mick jagger and pay him the few bucks I might make

Most backing tracks ( not all) are pretty generic. You cant really copy-rite a chord progression. but you can copy-rite a melody. Personally I think copy-rite laws are really screwed up in this country, but you should hav some idea what they are  Thats why I'm an advocate of what we do at sound click ( write our own songs and use a creative Commons copy=rite). I don't see the RIAA or BMI etc. coming after Rahul or any one Using backing tracks to jam with that are going to be heard by relatively few people, but THEY CAN if they want to. --the dog
