love the pedal steel. I would bet he is using Sacred Steel tuning...as does Robert Randolph.
Joe if you liked this one search out Randolph on youtube.
Thank you sir!!! I have been following you, the Lee boys, Robert Randolph and others doing sacred steel music for a few years now. I haven't been this influenced since I first heard Hendrix back in the early 70's. Thank you so much :D 8)

Hey Guys,
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated the voicings about this piece that I tried to play. It is the second of two crossover renditions after 56 years of Sacred Steel playing style of music. I Thank you for your comments, and encouragement, they have been a blessing to me. In case some of you might be interested, that is me also playing all of the background instruments, to the accompaniment of myself. Thanks Again. Bishop Ronnie P Hall (Ron)
hey RevRon. do you know about the Steel Guitar forum? tons of great players, friendly folks and all kinds of steel guitars..from pedal to lap. all kinds of tunings . I bet they would like to see and hear your playing.
after 56 years of Sacred Steel I would think you have something to say.
Hi Dogbite,
I "am" a member of the Steel Guitar Forum, and yes, it is quite a forum for steel players of all genres`! A lot of good healthy exchanges of ideas are presented there. I am exploring not only steel playing, I also play several other instruments, the electric spanish guitar being among them. Iam into all forms of music, and still growing after all these years. Thanks again for the tip though, it is highly appreciated.

"I like to play that guitar. I have to stare at it while I'm playing it because I'm not very good at playing it."
Noel Gallagher (who took the words right out of my mouth)
I missed this thread!
RevRon, thank you very much for sharing your music with us.
And please, keep posting!
WOW! I always did love this song - especially Ben E King's and John Lennon's versions. This is so cool, so different that now I've got THREE versions to play!
RevRon, you got ..... SOUL!

Hi guys!,
To Almann, Nuno, and Vic Lewis, Also to any of our fellow musicians, who might be reading this thread.
Thank you so much for your encouraging remarks. For me, it is a blessing that my fellow musicians have seemingly accepted my efforts to try to be a part of a larger environment of music being exibited here. As I have said, this for me is just a hobby, my days of reaching for the stars are pretty much over. But I want to say to "all" of you, keep reaching for the stars, and that goal that you have set for yourselves, and dont let anybody hold you back. You can make if you try. Thanks again guys, you have been a blessing, and surely an encouragement to me.

God I love slide guitar, that was really good. A couple times I tried to put my guitar on my lap and use a slide on it that way, but it just feels really weird to use a slide not on my pinky.
One chord is fine.
Two you're pushing it.
Three and you're into jazz.
Hi Elpantalla,
Believe it or not, that is exactly how I started some 56 years ago. If I can do it, so can you. (smile) Never say never! Good luck to you! The warmest of greetings,
Bishop Hall (Ron)
Inspiring music and rendition. Thank you Rev Ron you have just made my evening.
