Some of you already know about The Audio Flash Project, my musical laboratory for experimental musical creation. Some tracks will sound experimental, but it's the Method (or rules) of creation that are experimental, so the tracks wont always sound mad.

Anyway, I've just posted the Outline for a future Experiment which needs as many volunteers to contribute as possible. There's a 2 month (or so) timeline for this, and all you need to do to contribute is to record 30 seconds-2minutes of music as a single track (i.e. one instrument, either a live instrument, or a MIDI file converted to audio). You then send the track to me, and I will mix the different tracks together to create the final piece. If you want, you can also sign up to receive all the submissions and do your own mix of them. The final piece may exceed 2 minutes (depending on what I get and how I use it). Simple, really.

The full details of the Experiment can be found here - http://audioflasher.blogspot.com/2010/06/audio-flash-experiment-volunteers.html

And details of The Audio Flash Project can be found here: http://audioflasher.blogspot.com/ and here: http://forums.guitarnoise.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=48556

I'll post a link to the finished track to the Audio Flash blog and to this thread. For this Experiment to be a success, it really does need as many submissions as possible. If e.g. you're not happy with you guitar playing, but you can make decent MIDI tracks, send me some drums, or some bass, or something else. If you want, you can record some 'found music' (sounds from your environment) and send that. I just need lots of submissions, and I need each contributor to keep quiet on what they plan to send - the aim of the Experiment is to collaborate with minimal information shared.

Thanks for reading!
