I kinda realised the other day that I haven't recorded any guitar at all for the past six months or something like that. So this is my Soundclip of the Month. ;) Recorded in one take, no special editing done afterwards. So enjoy plenty of mistakes (and the authentic hisses and hums!), this should give a fair impression of what I'm playing like at the moment. :?

Great tune.

You must add some vocals out there.It will be a hit blues song in no time.

Sounds very nice! Sounds like you consistently bent to the right note, which is really good for a single pass recording this long.

Tone is also very good. Did you use your new EVJH? Also, did you also do the backing tracks?

If you want to hear about some room for improvement, I think that the piece could be shorter for the melodic idea you are working on..it starts to sound similar after the first two minutes.

Rahul: Hehe, I won't be singing until I start vocal lessons. There is a limit to what I'm willing to do to you all. ;)

Smokehouse: Thanks! :D

Vink: yeah, this is the VHJ, but this sound is *not* representable for how the amp sounds. The chain used:

guitar->VHJ->Weber minimass line-out->EQ->V-amp (comp->reverb->cabsim)->E-mu soundcard (EQ->cabsim->reverb->delay->gain->cabsim->EQ) into Cubase.

The noise is the result of this, and although I do like this sound a lot the Epi with a proper speaker sounds quite different. I might be able to mic that in a few week, depending on how things go.

And yeah, the piece could be shorter. But I used a third-party backingtrack for this and didn't feel like shortening it up. Thanks for the comments, some bends actually are off, but hey you can't have everything. ;)

BTW, I really did like the way the delay sounded..

Great playing. Don't worry about the sound issues - just adds to the raw blues feeling.

Thanks people! :D I was asked by a member here if I could give him a tab to what I played, maybe someone else has some use for it as well. Just the first two rounds, sorry. Copy&paste into notepad, it's too long for the (code) command to work.
