this song is either unbelievably bad or unbelievably good.

If it was a psychadelic interlude then it was fantasic. I can see it sitting in the middle of a psychadelic 70's experimental album. But the lyrics seem as though you just wrote the song to see if you could fool people into taking it seriously. If so, well done, you fooled me, hand me the acid...

I enjoyed that and a few others of yours I listened too. I'm sure you were influenced by people I may not of heard of, but pink floyd came to mind. BTW did you understand the questions on your artist page

Heh, I like that - if someone asks me a question I don't know the answer to, or don't want to think about, or wasn't listening to, etc., I just answer "seven".

I liked the track too, btw :)

Well, I generally like to write songs that are 'abnormal', one way or the other. Not because I deeply desire to be 'more unique' or any such but because I'm interested in the sounds and 'feel' that more 'experimental' (I dislike that word almost as much as 'alternative' but it suffices here) music can bring. With a healthy emphasis on 'can', the line between 'original' and 'lame' can be quite thin. As for how serious this song is: I guess about as serious as you decide to take it. Regardless of what I think or intended this song to be my songs generally mean anything the individual listener decides to believe. So I didn't fool you, even if that would have been my intention.

Thanks. I'm not sure at all who my influences are but PF will do nicely. I've always loved the hazy yet clearly defined melodies of Gilmour. And yes, I think I understand the questions, but what else can I say? For example the next question:

Q: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
A1: No, I really love to remain a starving musician living in a 11m2 shitty el-cheapo appartment in the middle of nowhere.
or
A2: Yes, I can't wait to sell-out and trash all my ideals for some quick cash. I'm sure it'll make my mom proud!

It's just too stupid. Like anyone really cares about what brand of compressor I use. People who ask questions like these are all wankers. Seriously.

Chords&Scales: Thanks. :) The future is for all who follow the 'confuse and rule' mentality that will one day make me the greatest electric violin player of all of north-west Groningen. ;)

that song was awesome, reminded me of pink floyd in a way, love the spacey feel to it. Good job 11/10

Enjoyed that.

The only things I can say is that I'm not sure about the entry of the 'space' effect at 00.11. Part of me liked the suddenness of it appearing but a much larger part feels that a quick fade in might sound better.

The only other thing is the ending, it seemed kind of anti-climactic for some reason. Have you tried ending with a sort of high pitch effect and fading out slowly?

Free flowing with a lot of feeling, yet the dominant chord progression adds enough structure to keep me from getting too spaced out...a perfect balance if you asked me! Very nicely done.

Thanks a lot people!

VillanovaJunction: Good point, the way the voice comes in is pretty sudden, having it fade in in one second or so should be better. As for the ending, I could have gone with a more exciting finish but I fear that could take away from the dreamy feeling.

Ken: Sure, let me know when you have a need for me! :)

Sport The Trapped X: regardless of whether that was sarcastic or not, it's the best I can right now. It's actually also the first time I sing a real melody with purpose and intention so there's plenty of room for improvement. Or in other words: I'm content with where I am now and happy to think of where I can be in a few more years. :)
