Fairweather Fairwell: the mix is too "in your face" for me. The first fill that comes in is way too loud. The drums could use some verb. They sound a bit boxy otherwise.

Castle Frank: great tune but again the same complaints as with the first track. It's distorting real bad in my monitors and I have the volume really low. The vox break up (distort) as soon as the chorus comes in. I doubt you could fix that in the mix. It sounds like either the mic or the preamp is distorting. The bgs in the chorus are a bit too much. One harmony or double would be perfect. Your voice is great. Don't try to hide it. Theres parts where it could be a bit tighter but the song is loose so that might take something away from the feel. I could here some call and response going on in there if you ever wanted to fit it in.

Anyway generally good songs. A bit more polish on the mix could really bring it up a few notches.

If I had to make two suggestions they would be:

1: back off on the compression or the limiter on the master buss. Louder isn't always better.

2: Don't mix on the same day you tracked.

Add salt to taste. I'm a hack so take it or leave it.
