I've been quite productive lately. Wrote and recorded two new songs.

The first:
Boats and Planes, Everyone!
http://www.box.net/shared/8d4dadqnu3

This song took me quite awhile to do. I finally got hold of a drumset, which I took advantage of here. (Although I'm not the greatest drummer).

The Second:
When He Descended From the Clouds
http://www.box.net/shared/6jdy183ee4

This, for me, was an experiment in a more abstract style of lyric writing. I felt that many of the songs I had written previously had very straightforward lyrics. Tried to change that here. I've been toying with the idea of adding some electric guitar to this one.

Tell me whatcha think!

One chord is fine.
Two you're pushing it.
Three and you're into jazz.

I was blown away. I would be totally happy to be that good. I like the minor chords and the broad and skilled inflection in the voice, as well as your personal amazing tone or timbre.

IMO it is all there except for some less than correctly-timed, minor intonation or pitch shifts or inflection in the voice, which occur when making more than one syllable out of a single syllable within a word that has more syllables. Co-articulated vowels?

Also, again, minor, but you can hone this: a little more clarity or enunciation when the tone (voice) decays at the end of a word or line - sometimes I couldn't hear the word or ending clearly. Here I am referring to the dual consonant sounds which end a word or phrase.

I'm not good or precise enough to name it but hope I was close. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_phonetics_topics

Well done, as always. 'Boats and Planes sounding pretty good all the way through it. Nice flow. Perhaps the only bit that was awkward to listen to was the ending. I thought it ended at about the 4 minute mark. The last little bit would have fit in nicely if the last big drum smash wasn't a normal song closing smash. I don't know exactly what I am saying. Good job either way.

On 'Boats and Planes, Everyone!'. Nice chord progression. It sounds pretty good when you play the arpeggios. Sometimes the drums don't sound so well to me. Perhaps, because I am using these tiny laptop speakers.

Good job!
