Advice on USB/Firewire from GNX3

I have a GNX3, but the thing is just idiotic when it comes to talking to my laptop. I like the settings, pedals, etc. What I'd like to do is run an Audio Interface between the analog outputs on the GNX3 and my laptop. Any suggestions/ideas? I've been reading reviews till my eyes bleed. Dont want Line6 pod types, just a simple good quality AI that I can use to record myself. I thought about the UX2-Line6, and ditch the GNX3, and it received 4 1/2 stars on MF, but there aren't alot of positive reviews on it??? Some where downright bad.
