I came across this tidbit of info perusing the gearslutz forums (a great resource for anyone who wants to record). Apparently the guitarcentres in California are selling UAD-1E cards for $99 - seemingly they are being sold as "repacks" but are fresh sealed from the factory.

UAD-1e cards are pretty awesome, I wish I could get one (especially at this cheap rate). You need one if you want to run any of Universal Audio's awesome plug-ins. Anyone who can order from a cali GC would be well advised to get on of these in...
