I'm trying to fade my songs in Cubase LE so that when I mixdown my tracks to a single CD track it will fade out.

the only thing I can find is to select a particular track and select Audio - Process - Fade Out, but this doesen't seem to work.

Is there a simple way to fade out all the tracks in unison ?

Any help gratefully appreciated.

I tried to do that to and it did not work. I too use Cubase Le. I am really new and often don't understand the new language right off. I plan to work on learning how. one thing I saw was in the tool bar. you use the pencil or pointer and draw an angled line and click to set that fade. it di not work but I think I had to set a select first. I am still in the process of trying this.
hopefully later (sorry not now) I will figure it out. it is simple. it is supposed to be.right?

I'm not familiar with Cubase LE but does it have a "Master" volume track?

For example, in Cakewalk Sonar, it has a Master track which you can apply volume envelopes too. To fade out everything, you draw an envelope on the Master track and draw it down to fade out.

Does Cubase LE have something like that?

At the end of your track there is a little box in the upper right corner, click and drag it back towards to the left. the more you drag it back, the slower it will fade out.

You should be able to create an automation "track" for the master track. Check the manual. I'm not at home right now so I can't check this.

Opening a Master automation subtrack • Select “Add Track” from the Project menu, and select “Master Automation” from the submenu. A Master automation subtrack is added to the Track list. By default, the Master Gain parameter is assigned.

And then, don't forget press the 'R' button (press the '+' button if you can not see it). So, the automation line becomes actives and you can select it. For fading-out, you can add two points for creating a line. I don't know how to create a smooth and continuous curve as in Audio|Process menu.
