I have Rokit KRK 5 monitors and they hum also. I haven't had any luck fixing it yet. Let me know if the EMI shield works, but I kind of doubt that. It's probaly the monitor or cable. With my Rokits, I've done all kinds of signal checks while listening on headphones. Rather than an interface, I use a mixer between my PC and the monitors, and I can also plug headphones into the mixer. While listening on the mixer I would disconnect all connections one by one, and the noise would come in through the headphones once the speaker plug touched the mixer socket....

Your KRKs hum? Are you going balanced to balanced(xlr to xlr or TRS or vice versa)? Mine are quiet except with an unbalanced signal.

It's balanced, XLR at the monitor to TRS at the mixer. Yours are quiet eh? Hmmmm... I wonder what could be the problem then. Sorry, i didn't mean to hijack the thread, but I guess it could be the same problem then
