Hi when i mixdown my audio clips to wave files in sonar 5 , the wave file's volume is usually much lower before it was mixdown...anybody know why?
When you exported the track, was the original file bit rate set at 16 and you exported it as 24?

no i recorded at 24bit 96khz wave and exported at 24bit 96khz wave any ideas?
I completely agree with that problem. I find that all of my mix-downs from Sonar 5 have low volumes as well. I even put compression on the master fader to make sure that my signal is optimal. I just seems that even with your levels just below the "red", the mix volume still isnt sufficient. I spent plenty of time playing with the mixdown sampling frequency and bit quality and nothing works. However, my mixdowns from other software, like Reason 3, sound great.
