I was looking around the site of an awesome jamming software I use http://www.ninjam.com and I found out they had made a multitracker.
So first of all try out ninjam cause it is a really good piece of software and fun as hell when you jamming in mostly real time over the internet.
But anyway the multitracker is free for now and should be about $25 when its out of beta. I can say I would pay $25 for it. It is soo much better then audacity or krystal. I'm a little bias because I usually support small companies but this software really does compete with sonar or cubase for MOST things. The Site is http://www.cockos.com/reaper . I can say try it out it has some awesome features(most of which I havn't touched yet).
Note: Kinda sounds like an ad for them but I have no interest in them other then really like the software they make.
