I just bought a Line 6 TonePort GX off ebay, and was wondering if anybody here has any experience with them.
It looks like an interseting thing to mess around with, and record some songs with. I don't have any hopes of it sounded too amazing or anything, but figure it'll give me and some friends something to lay down some ideas with.
Anybody use this before? Or the rest of the TonePort line? How is the Gearbox software, is it either bit as good as they make it out to be?

I had the slightly bigger brother. The UX1. The tones you can get are pretty convincing but you might need to spend some time making up your own presets. The stock presets are ok but way too processed for my liking. That being said, amplitube by far has the best sounds I've yet heard. The ability to use a combination of two amps and cabs in stereo makes all the difference. But, that's another $300.
I have the guitar port-i use gearbox and riffworks and i love them- 8) gearbox has some cool sounds
