There's a new finger style lesson, this time of JT's 'Carolina in my Mind' done fingerstyle. It's a movie/tab/mid lesson as usual.

http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/carol/ is the direct link.

Cheers, happy twanging.

Kirk

Well I clicked on this link and the other one at the top and got the 'sorry this link is gone' message. Went to the site and figured I would have to sign up to access the lessons and I'm still getting no luck following the links. But boring down in the site I have found the 'Kirk' lessons. I'm looking at Yankee Doodle Dandy fingerstyle right now, in flash, a fretboard and telling you what chords are being used. It looks nice and it has the tab, still looking fo the Carolina in my Mind.

It's not there Gadlaw. Kirk has removed all copyright material from his site.

That's what I thought. What a shame. I've just been looking at that site and it would have been nice to be able to buy a tutorial for some classic rock stuff like that. It only makes me go to amazon or elsewhere and get the official sheet music and perhaps buy the CD again if I've that that one or even just pick up the song at itunes. Now nobody wins. I love copyright law.

Yeah that really sucks. I've avoided teaching songs for this very reason. But in my mind teaching songs should be allowed - why can teachers teach out of textbooks that are copyright?
